Question:

I have rough cedar walls throughout my 4500 square foot house and have not found anything that works on removing pet hair and dust off the walls. I have tried a vacuum cleaner, wet rags, feather dusters that stick to the rough cedar. Do you have any suggestions? Thanks

Answer:

Not really other than sanding or changing the wood. This why I always recommend a smooth finish for interior.

once in desperation i used a mop bucket with mild soap and a splash of bleach. then i took every thing away from and off of the wall. then i lined the bottom of the wall with old towels and used a car wash brush to SCRUB intensely. then i moved to the next wall and the next wall. I can be an all day event. if not a couple days.
