Question:
We used a clear polyurethane on the interior of our logs and on the T&G interior walls and ceiling. The logs turned a warm honey color and the T&G turned yellow. They are both white pine. Will they over time blend? Or can we apply a tinted stain to the T&G boards over the clear polyurethane to try to match the color?
Answer:
Altough it's to late, Poly souldn't be used, because it does turn yellow. It probably will not blend over time. Tinting is probably going to be your best route.
