We have a log home that the top parts of the log have greyed but the bottom part that doesn't get hit by sun are fine. How do I finish the top without getting two tones?

Just about impossible, but you can try lightly sanding the tp portion and then hand brushing stain on the tops trying to blend it in. Start somewhere in the back where no one will see it all of the time to see how it works. This is why you must keep up on the 3 to 4 year maintenance to avoid this situation.
