Question:

I have a 35 year old full lof home. I have rot in a few logs from lack of rain gutter on that side of the building. It has been suggested that I could chisel out the rot, put a sealant and then apply a half log as closely matched to mine as possible. I do not see any rot or softening of the wood on the interior. Is this a resonable solution?

Answer:

Yes it is.
